I THINK the first trimester is the worst time to have things done to your hair, but I'm not positive. You might read conflicting things here and there, and the fuss is because of not only the fumes from dyes and what's in the perm solution, but also because those things soak into your skin and blood system, all of which affects the baby. I would call a salon, or the person you usually go to just to make sure... or if you don't trust one opinion, call up a few different salons!
It is perfectly alright to get a perm. I mean come on hairdressers have been pregnant and have been handling all those kinds of solutions for years. I would make sure that it is in a well ventilated area. Plus there is the possibility that your hormones will screw up the perm a little. They can do that. But please call your ob doctor and get their opinion on it or ask at your next visit.
I UNDERSTAND MY HAIR IS A DISASTER AREA LOL IT TURNS OUT U CAN ONLY GET 1 IN UR 2ND TRIMESTER I FOUND OUT AT 28WEEKS AND MY MOM WAS LIKE U BETR HURRY UP AND GET 1 SO I JUST SAID GOSH MOM F**CK IT IM 2 SCARED 2 GET 1 NOW LOL BUT ID XTILL CHECK WITH UR DOCTOR 1ST IT MAY B DIFF 4 SOME PPL :)
