is cancer genetic?
my older sister had lykemia cancer when she was 12 to 16...shes 17 now...and in remission but someone told me cancer was a gentic thing and now im sressing over my baby getting it....is there any test to see if your child is able to get cancer....is cancer really even a gentic thing?

I think it is but lukemia is a different kind of cancer. I know female cancers like breast and cervical tend to run in families. Mine has both, poor me and my girls. I don't really know about lukemia though. Google is great though, that's how I find out most of what I'm wondering. Good luck and I hope your sis stays healthy. :)
