Carseats? ...Is it safe to use a used one ?

This is my second pregnacy and its been 6 yrs, I bought a used carseat at a yardsale, just not sure if its safe to use it or not? Really dont want to buy a new one if i dont have to. So my big question is, Is it safe to use a used carseat ?

u can use a used carseat but they expire! so i would take the used car seat to ur nearest sheriffs office or police department to be sure that the seat isnt expired! they r really helpfull and kind!

Definitely check and make sure it hasn't expired! The other problem w/ buying at a garage sale is that you don't want to use it if it has been in an accident - even if it "looks" ok. I would say used carseats from family/friends you trust are OK though.
