Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

You might read that it's not, but there are salons out there that use ammonia-free products for their services.  This might mean that their services will cost more.  It should be okay if you only do it once in a while, but it's probably not a good idea to go in for fills your entire pregnancy, just to be safe.

It is perfectly fine.  There really is no evidence out there that it does anything to unborn babies.  But like stefanies said try and go for the ammonia free stuff.  If you  can't then it should be in a well ventilated area which most salons are.

I got my nails done like a week before I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter. When I went to my first appointment my doctor told me not to get my nails done. But different doctors day different things. I would suggest if you are really consurned get your doctor's opinion.
