Is hot and cold patches safe to use on backaches while pregnant?

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have been having burning pains in my back. Is it safe to use hot and cold patches?

im prertty sure its fine..as long as its like a hot pack or something and not a rub like icy hot that has chemicals in it. i use a hot pack for my back now and it deff helps

I would check the chemical patches, some are safe and some are not. Heating pads are NOT suggested during pregnancy unless you are very careful with them. They can heat up your core too much, and cause problems for baby. At physio they still put them on me, but wrap two towels around them so they are just warm, not hot. For the same reason, super hot baths and hot tubs are also bad while pregnant.
