From everything I've heard it is perfectly fine to continue breastfeeding an older child while pregnant. Just keep in mind that during pregnancy your breast milk will change to accommodate what the new baby's needs will be when born so your son might not want to nurse anymore because of the changes.

Yep, it is totally fine.  Keep breastfeeding.  But it is true that your milk will change and some children will wean themselves during this time.

I am 10 weeks pregnant w/my 4th child.  Still breastfeeding my 11 month old.  I was told by my dr. I should wean sooner than later as I should save those nutrients for the new baby.  Still nursing a bit but he is slowly weaning himself.
