Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Itching

I am 34 weeks as of tomorrow and for the past week and a half I have been itching. It started with my palms and soles, but now it is all over my body. It seems to me that with each day the itching gets worse. I called the clinic and they said it was a pregnancy rash and that there was not much I could do to help myself... I have followed their instructions and taken Benadryl, which makes me sleepy, and applying anti-itch creams, but nothing seems to work!!! I am going crazy here with all this itching! Has anyone had this? If so, how did you cope???? I still have 6 weeks before my due date and 3 weeks for my little one to be considered full term... and I am ready to pull my hair out with this!!!!

Thanks guys,Apparently there is something wrong with my liver that can cause harm to the baby. Even though I am only 34 weeks they are going to deliver her already. I go in today to see how developed her lungs are and was told to expect to go to the hospital from there. :( I am not ready for this. I am not even done being pregnant... You know, the feeling of wanting the pregnancy to be over, I'm not there yet. I just hope my little girl is well enough to be able to come home with me. I don't want her to be in the NICU or anything like that. I am soooo sad and dissapointed.

Don't be disappointed. They figured out what was wrong, and are making sure your baby is safe, which is the most important thing for you! 34 weeks is almost considered full term! She may have to stay in the hospital for a bit, but it's worth it in the end! Good luck with everything!
