Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

THAT IS RITE !! UR MUCAS PLUG COMES OUT USUALLY WITHIN HRS OF LABOR SO IF U GO TO THE BATHROOM AND SEE A MUCAS THAT KINDA LOOKS LIKE "EGG YOLK"  (SORRY LADIES) IT WILL BE ANYTIME AFTER THAT, MAYBE THE NEXT FEW HRS OR SO.

Not necessarily.  Your mucus plug can come out a few weeks before your labor.  Basically, when the baby is 'ripe' you will expel the plug.  Babies are considered full-term by 37 weeks, so the plug can come out that early, but then the baby can decide to stay in it's cozy little cave for a few more weeks to get fatter :) It really depends on the woman, though - some have freight-train labors that start fast, some are slow, some will start contractions, skip a day, then resume.  Everyone's different; just make yourself aware of all the signs and what everything looks like and you'll be fine :)  Good luck with everything!
