Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

If your 18 month old has stopped trying to eat crayons and markers you can sit him or her in the high chair and let him or her color. You can also put out blocks (square ones, Duplo/Mega Bloks types, etc) or other activity toys like that. You can also give a snack. But, you have to keep in mind that toddlers attention spans are short and your 18 month old will need attention from you. Unless you have another person there to occupy him or her there really is no way to devote 100% of your focus to doing home work with your son. And please, make sure you know how to spell properly and can use proper grammar if you're going to be helping with home work.
