Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

I am ten days away from my period, i've been on birth control pills for about a week but lately i've been feeling nauseated, my breasts have been really tender, i've been overly tired. And really moody. I've also had period like cramping in my abdominal area with lower back pain. Could my birth control have failed?

Probably not.  If you are new to birth control or haven't been on it for a while, then you are adjusting to the new hormones being introduced to your body.  All of your symptoms sound like period symptoms to me.  It happens that many are the same as pregnancy symptoms, but it's probably your body adjusting.

Like lissiemel said, since youv only been on for a week your body could be adjusting. If you trying think you are, take a pregnancy test at the doctors just to be sure and ease your mind. I was on birth control and started my period almost immediately after I started the birth control (I was on the pill). I took it faithfully for 2 weeks then started mixing around times because I was sleeping weird. Half the time I wouldn't have known if it was morning or night unless my phone said am or pm. That was when m birth control failed me. Just try a pregnancy test if you're worried
