Baby's Heartbeat

Baby's Heartbeat

I'm about 13 weeks into my second pregnancy. My doctor told me this week that the heartbeat was 159. I know it's too early to determine the wives tales about a boy or girl, because the heart beat is supposed to be between 150-190 at this time. Just wondering if any Mom's kept track of their heartbeats at the check-ups before they knew for sure what they were having?

Doctors always say that the baby's heart rate means nothing. So don't get your hopes up. But, both my girls (my almost 3 year old and the one I'm pregnant with now) had heart rates that were 155-165, and my son was lower, around 145 most of the time. So my babies went right along with what the wives tale says.
