Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Can I lay on my stomach?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and I'm not even showing yet. I like to lay on my bed with my dogs and snuggle with them, but i usually lay on my stomach. If its not for very long is it ok to lay on it for now? I dont sleep on my stomach or anything, its usually not longer than 20-30 minutes.

My rule of thumb has always been that it's ok as long as it's comfortable for me. That generally meant that as long as I wasn't showing, it was comfortable. Because, if I wasn't showing, there wasn't anything to squish, you know? I used to be a tummy sleeper, so it was terrible for me that I couldn't sleep that way during pregnancy. With my last one, I wasn't showing until just after I hit 19 weeks. I slept on my stomach when I felt like it. My baby is just fine.
