Is it safe?

can i swim in town lake over summer

There is a man made lake in our town. Is it safe to swim in it over summer,?I will be in 2nd trimester by then. It is treated with pesticides once a year and tested for bacteria. Never had a problem , but now that pregnant???? who knows.

I would say that it shouldn't be a problem as your body has natural defenses against things like this. However, you should talk to your doctor about it. As I do not the history of the lake, or your medical history, nor do I have the education or experience to make that kind of judgement.

Thanks. Any advice helps. I might just be cautious, this is my third and given my "over 35" status I want to be careful. Thanks.
