Spotting is different for all women. Some women have a little spotting early in pregnancy when the egg implants. This is generally a small amount of red blood and/or brownish discharge. Later in pregnancy it's normal to experience a small amount of spotting after intercourse or after any kind of internal exam performed by your doctor. Some women may have a heavier amount of spotting, but generally it's just a small amount.

If you're concernd about what you may be experiencing you should always call your doctor.
