A woman's menstrual cycle stops once a fertilized egg implants. So no, you don't get your period during pregnancy. However, some women do experience spotting or bleeding throughout pregnancy. If you are sure you're pregnant (positive pregnancy test) and you're experiencing spotting you should call your doctor to see if s/he wants to see you. If you are experiencing heavier bleeding, you should go to urgent care, as bleeding can be a sign of a serious problem.

You CAN'T have a period when you are pregnant, however you can have implantation bleeding. If you are bleeding as heavy as a period you need to go to the doctor.

Both my mom and bestfriend, had their periods the first month of their pregnancy. And both had healthy, normal babies.
