Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Thirst can increase right away.  Drink lots of water (at least 32 oz per day).  Your cravings will change as you go through your pregnancy, most are nothing to over analize or be concerned with...unless you see yourself wanting to eat chalk, soap or non food items.  It typically means your body is deprived of a nutrient it needs for your new baby.  Those are big flags that you should contact your doctor about.  Your eating habits should be as normal if you are carrying only one child, eat healthy and remember that what you injest so does your baby.

I think just about evey pregnant woman wants chocolate at some point in her pregnancy. Lol. Who doesn't want chocolate? Don't worry about what you crave because you may crave some weird stuff. My sister craved cinnamon candy canes dipped in mashed potatoes when she was pregnant! GROSS!!!!!!! I have never had weird cravings like that but a lot of women do. If you crave things that aren't food you should tell your dr so the can check your iron. Low iron causes you to want to eat things that aren't food. My mom wanted to eat hot wheel tires! Lol. Good luck :)

You should try to at least 32-64 oz of water per day.  Your likes and dislikes will change as you go through your pregnancy.  Try not to over indulge on chocolate as it contains caffeine and packs on the pounds which is not very healthy for you or the baby.  You will get hungry more frequently and the hunger may feel extreme so, stock up on fruit and other healthy snacks and be sure to put a snack in your bag before you run errands.  Best wishes!
