if your baby is breastfed, it's normal for babies not to have a bowel movement for up to 7 - 10 days. This is because breast milk has very little waste compared to formula. But when the baby does have a bowel movement, watch out!! It's not uncommon for diaper explosions! I mean like all the way up the back - calls for an immediate bath!! but this is all normal with breast feeding. I freeked out with my 1st! If the baby is formula fed, i'd consult your pediatrician soon!

Some breastfed babies can even go longer without having a bowel movement. Amazing that they can go that long. And yes its so true amarie47!!! Been here a few times. =P

karo syrup in her bottles, and give her a warm bath.
