Could i be pregnant?
Could i be pregnant?
OK so i was on the depo shot for about a year and a half, and i stopped taking it in May because i was gaining alot of weight. So i havent been on birth control and i am TTC and i kinda got my period back but not like to the point where its every month. So me and my husband have been having lots of sex (sorry if too much tmi) anyway these are my symptoms: feel nauseous alot like throughout the day, dont really eat much but when i do i want what i am craving or i dont want it at all, i have to pee all the time and its not much, my back has been hurting, my vaginal discharge has really increased, my breasts are kinda sore but not that much,i have gained some weight, and smells have been bothering me too for example i smoke and i could smoke a pack in a day or so, now it lasts me about 3 days because i just dont like it. And very tried to the point where i could sleep all day. Please tell me what you think. I'm scared to take a pregnancy test because i want to be and i already got a blood test like last month i dont really want to go back and get another one and pay if it is going to say no again. Oh and another this is i have been very emotional like almost bi-polar feeling like ill be happy, then i want to cry or ill get super mad and then be happy, this is not normal for me.

First of all, if you're a smoker and are wanting to get pregnant, you need to quit. For good. Immeditately. Before you get pregnant. Smoking during pregnancy can cause a lot of health problems for your baby. Exposure to second-hand smoke and smoke residues left on clothes can also cause health problems for children. If you want to bring a child into the world, you need to be responsible and do what's best. Now, as to whether or not you are pregnant, take a pregnancy test. That's the only way to know. But, since you were on depo for so long, there's a good chance you aren't pregnant yet. It can take up to a year, and sometimes longer, for a woman's cycle to get back to normal after being on depo. (For the record, the depo probably wasn't the cause of your weight gain. Studies have shown that hormonal birth control really doesn't cause weight gain.) It has long lasting effects, and as your hormones get back to their normal states you can experience a lot of different symptoms, many of which are experienced during pregnancy. So take a test, or see your doctor for a blood test.
