A couple questions about being induced...

Has anybody been induced by having their membranes stripped? It seems like the most natural way, I just want to know how well it actually works. I'm due Monday, and will hopefully be induced by next week-end if I don't go on my own. I'm generally againt being induced, because it doesn't seem natural to me, but I'm totally done being pregnant this time! My midwife has said that the baby cannot grow any more, because there is no space left in my abdomen. Baby takes up the entire space from ribs to pubic bone, and as far on my sides as where my arms rest. (WAY bigger then my first! Which is scary, because she was almost 8lbs...). I figure if the baby can't grow any more, it's probably time to come out! I've been walking as much as possible, and lost my mucous plug about 2 weeks ago, so I don't think any "home remedies" will work.
