Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

my daughter is 9 weeks old and she has some congestion, a cough, and a runny nose. she isnt runing a fever and has had this cold for about two weeks. she doesn't seem extremely miserible or even uncomfortable. i dont think it's serious enough to take her to the doctor, but my family wont let up about it. i have a two year old also,, so i know what a cold looks like and im not the type of person to run to the doctor at every cough. what should i do? take her or just let it run it's course like i think it will? that's what the doctor is going to tell me, right?

If your baby is only 9 weeks old and she's been sick for two weeks I would at least call the doctor's office and talk to a nurse. With babies and young kids colds can turn into pneumonia very easily.I haven't had a baby that young get sick, so if it happened, I would call the doctor. It never hurts to call.
