How to conceive after a reversed viscetomy

How to conceive after a reversed viscetomy

My husband and I are in our early 30's we have 2 children each from previous relationships (15, 14, 14 & 10). We have decided that after 10yrs we would like to have one together. We had 1 major hurdle. About 6yrs ago he had a viscectomey. In April of this year he had it reversed. I am interested in if anyone has been thur this situation trying to conceive after a reversal? How long did it take after the reversal for you to conceive? .

Hi  I'm currently engaged and my fiance had a vasectomy about 8 years ago. He has 3 children from his previous marriage; this is my first marriage and I've never tried to have kids in the past. We've recently decided that we'd like to have a baby of our own. I've been researching information regarding our options and am happy to have found this post; it's comforting to know that others have gone through this as well. I don't believe that our insurance covers vasectomy reversal and am fearful that we will spend a lot of money on this procedure and then have our dreams crushed by failure. Since I know that it can take up to a year after the procedure for a pregnancy, I'd like to save the money and do the procedure soon since we would like to try to have the baby, if possible, within 3 years.

Please let me know what you find out and best of luck!
