I coud tell around 30 weeks they were head down. From their kicks. Around 34 weeks the midwife started to check and verified they were head down. So it is not really a sign of labor being near. With my daughter I went at 38 weeks and my son I was 3 days away from his due date.

There's really no correlation between when a baby turns head down to when you go into labor.

Kinda figured, was a bit worried cuz it would b a bit too soon 4 my lil angel to come.
