It's about the right time, unless you're having a baby shower. I'm waiting to see what we get and of course it's driving me nuts. If your having a shower then wait because you don't want like 2 or 3 of everything, you can buy diapers, just not alot of newborn because sometimes they arn't in them very long. Hope this helps..
Kierans_mommy2011 is right, it is the right time but if you are having a shower than its best to wait to see what you get. I'm due March 2011 and I'm 30 weeks pregnant but I'm waiting till my shower in Feb 2011 to buy anything but diapers which my husband bought a pampers gift pack at Babies R Us for $50 and it had diapers in sizes 1,2,3, a baby bottle, coupons, a picture frame, and a free baby book. It's always good to stock up on diapers but we are also having a diaper party for my hubby while I have my baby shower and my family has asked all the men to bring him a pack of baby diapers each. But other than diapers I would wait because you might be getting it at your shower however you can always save your money for after your shower. It is okay for you to buy something just from you to your baby especially if it's on sale. I already bought my baby a little sister bib that I found for $2 that I thought was really cute and could be a present from her big sis. Good luck!
I agree it is smarter to wait about some stuff until after the shower. Do you have any family members that would buy the bid stuff though? The crib, bassinet, changing table, that kind of stuff? If not then I would start looking for that stuff atleast. Diapers are always good to buy because you're never going to have too many diapers (unless the baby outgrows that size). Clothes are something else you can think about. Everybody always gets clothes at a baby shower but never enough unless you know somebody who had a baby of the same sex recently and they give you what their baby out grows. To me you always get some of almost everything at a baby shower but not enough to really get by. If you want to wait until after your shower going to do a registry is a fun way to feel like you're getting things for the baby without buying in advance. I hope this helps :)
