No it's not normal. You should not be bleeding if you are pregnant. Light bleeding can be normal but heavy bleeding is not good. 

Spotting is normal but heavy bleeding isn't. You should call your doctor right away.

you might have a subchorionic hemorrhage, which is a relatively common condition (though not widely known about by most people). Having this condition does increase your risk for miscarriage, BUT MOST women with this condition do not have a miscarriage and have perfectly healthy babies. Please do ask your doctor about it. Good luck!It can be terrifying, I know- I had it last year and it was the worst experience of my life. I know others who have had this and who went on to have healthy babies
