Is it normal for my "episotomy" to still hurt& sting a month Post P?
had an episiotomy during vaginal delivery now a month later it stilll feels like an open wound, stings/hurts when i pat dry and pee if i dont use the water bottle.. Postpartum appointment next week but would like to know if any other mother has gone through this as well...

It can still be very tender. I think it depends some on the degree of the episotomy you had. I had one with my first pregnancy but it was 5 years ago. So I do forget how long it took to feel normal again.

yes, everyone heals differntly and it does depend on the degree. i had a 4th degree with my first child and it was sore/tender for about 2 months and don't believe it fully healed for almost 6 months! have your dr take a good look (i know that sounds weird) down there when you go for your postpartum appt and keep using the waterbottle. my hospital also gave me the dermoplast (sp?) numbing spray that i used once in the morn and at night to help. everyone talks about recovering from csecs but rarely hear about episiotomies and they are just as common! good luck!
Is an ad a sensitive answer to a very sensitive question? Keep up the warm soaks and spray a little bit helps a lot. Some mild (careful) stretching can help though it may not be your favorite thing to do. Think physical therapy. If you work with your Dr. you may not need one next time.
