It is ill-advised to do so, and if your anger gets that bad, I suggest that you get help with it. You should not get physical with your child, other than the occassional spanking or slap on the wrist.

You should never hold a child upside down. It doesn't matter if they are angry or if you are angry. Time outs should be used, not anything physical.
