Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Labor doesn't really have anything to do with determining whether or not your baby will be healthy. With the exception of a few complications that can happen, a baby's health is determined long before birth. As far as what you can expect from labor, your doctor will be your best resource for information. There isn't a lot on the internet since mothers over 40 aren't terribly common, even with all of the fertility treatments available.

I'm 44 and will be 45 at delivery. I think more women are having more babies over 40 . This is my first and my doctor said preeclampsia and gestational diabetes are the 2 things to watch out for. Good luck ;)
