Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

My baby is low?

I went to my DRs appointment the other day for my checkup, and the NP pulled out the doppler to hear my daughters heartbeat. She started up above my belly button and couldnt hear anything, so I told her I always feel her kicking my cervix, hips and what not. So she took the doppler and ran it by my right hip, about 4 inches or so above the pubic bone and she heard her heartbeat right away. When she heard it, she said, "Wow, she sure is low huh?" I will be 26 weeks Monday. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it, but just and fyi. Is it ok that she is low? My NP didnt seemed worried, but surprised she was as low as she was. What could it mean?

Babies always shift inside of you. If the doctor didn't seem concerned, there is nothing for you to worry about. I doubt it means she will stay in that position anyways.

Babies move around a lot when they're small and have room to do so. And, some babies are positioned lower than others. If your doctor isn't concerned there's no reason for you to worry.
