This is my first time pregnant and I am spotting is it okay

I'm 8 weeks will be 9 weeks on Monday I went to the doctor for it and they said it could be bc of a lot of reason one maybe miscarriage but my doctor said everything is fine I got blood work done at the hosptail and my HCG is 18532 my doctor said that's good but they still did more blood work on me Friday and I got back on Monday for them to tell me what they blood wrok says but I wanna know if it's fine to have spotting when pregnant I'm not in any pain or anything and I think that the spotting is gettign a little more then what it was the other day it's on and off the blood is brown please someone help me I don't know and need to know now what's going on with my baby I hope and pray that my baby is fine
