Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

My husband and I have been together for 9 years and have been married for 2 years in august. We just recently decided that we want to have a baby. this past month I got on the internet and calculated my ovulation days, and we had intercourse on those days. However, I feel as if it was unsuccessful, because I have no symptoms of being sick or anything. We really need help with this issue.

It takes a while for pregnancy symptoms to show up. Your body doesn't even start making the pregnancy hormone hcg until the fertilized egg has implanted in the uterine wall and then your body has to have enough time to get your levels high enough to receive a positive pregnancy test result. Most women don't experience morning sickness or other typical pregnancy symptoms until around 6 weeks in. So just be patient and wait for your next expected period to take a test. If you aren't pregnant you should use the home ovulation tests to figure out exactly when you're ovulating since not all women ovulate two weeks after their period (which is the average).
