Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Hi, Im a 27 y/o who has had 2 successful pregnancys. About 6 months to a year after my second one was born I was diagnosed with Graves diease{ hyperthyroidism}. My youngest is now 2. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with being prego with this diease and how hard is it to get prego with it. I also have a slightly tilted uterus, but with my first two had NO problems getting prego, In fact I was on the pill with my first and taking otc films with my second and STILL got prego. I have been off bc for a month now and has had unprotected sex many of times and should be starting in a few days but the tests keep coming up neg. I feel like I did when I was first prego with my second and if Im not now I will be sooo totally surprised cus I feel the same. I actually have no dr to do a blood test and I dont know if a heatlh unit will. I just want to hurry up and find out so I can get a dr asap. Any suggestions ladies?

Just walk in the hospital and ask them to do a blood test. Tell them how you feel and what is going on. They should be able to set up an appt. for you.

Ask for a blood test.

You should always have an ob/gyn, especially when you are trying to get pregnant. Find one in your area and make an appointment ASAP to get the necessary blood tests. Only a doctor can tell you what is going on and what you can expect.
