Ovulation Problems

Good Morning Ladies, Well I'm new to this website so hopefully I could get answers and opinions. Well I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years now going on 4. He has a 5 year old son from his previous marriage. We have been trying for a baby and have had no luck. So Im seeing a Fertility Doctor she put me on Metaformin 1000mg and Famera 2.5 for ovulation that is my main problem irregular cycles which means lack of ovulation. My last cycle was 2/27/11 - 3/5/11 I have noticed any stretchy discharge at all. Does that mean this round isn't going to work. Has anyone had any similar situation or any success with these medications
