Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Hey, I am 19 years old and I recently was in Canada visiting my fiancée who is working there. While there I took advantage of the lower drinking age. I usually use some type of protection but I pretty sure that we forgot to this time. According to numerous fertility calculators I was ovulating the week that I was there and now I'm worried I might be pregnant. My boobs have gotten really sore and just walking up and down stairs is painful. I also have started to get this really weird clear jelly like discharge(tmi sorry). Its almost as heavy flow as a period would be. I should be getting my period on 2/28 but I'm not having any of my usual pre-period dilemmas(acne, pms, etc.) that I usually get during the week prior. Also, I have never been late a day in my life. Needless to say I'm more than a little anxious right now and if anybody could offer advice it would be very much appreciated.

Honestly, there is nothing you can do yet. It's probably too early to take a pregnancy test. There's only like 30% accuracy if you take it now. Don't stress about it yet, your period is not for another 4 days. There is nothing you can do but wait until your period day. If it doesn't come then take a test. But don't stress about it too much, because stress can cause your period not to come. I used to do this to myself all the time. I was once a whole week late, took about 4 pregnancy tests, and went to the clinic. All of them said not pregnant. But I was still stressing about whether I was. The nurse told me that stress could be a reason why I hadn't started yet. So, for now I would just wait and relax. The only thing you could do is stay from any alcohol or drugs, just in case. Hope that makes you feel better.
