Weeks 4 & 5 - Is mild cramping normal?

Weeks 4 & 5 - Is mild cramping normal?

Is it normal to have mild cramping sporatically in weeks 4 & 5? I had a miscarraige in week 6, and I am hoping this is not the same thing. Maybe I am just paranoid, but I feel the very mild cramping every once in awhile and I get nervous.

I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks the first time I ever got pregnant.  Had a daughter 14 months ago and am pregnant with our 2nd baby now...I am 5 weeks and also have the mild cramping so I know exactly why you are worried.  However, mild cramping at this stage is very common and there is nothing to worry about unless you are spotting or bleeding.  The cramping is caused by the growing baby!  Your uterous is stretching, making room for the fluid and baby.  Try not to worry as stress will only make it worse.  Congrats on your pregnancy and good luck!
