Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Is this what contractions feel like?

I am 28 weeks pregnant I have one daughter and I'm pregnant with my second. With my first I never got to feel contractions because she was born through c-section at 36 weeks due to preeclampsia. Now that I'm pregnant with #2 I'm not sure what I'm suppose to be feeling. I went to the Dr. today and she said everything looks fine. However now I'm feeling these weird pains in my stomach as if someone is twisting my insides. It feels almost like when you get a cramp in your foot and you can't move it but it really hurts. I don't know if that's what contractions feel like or what they feel like but these pains are coming and going. Can anybody help?

Doesn't sound like contractions to me.  Contractions are more like a rubber band that is tightening around your entire lower tummy and back.  Think about tightening and then loosening, but it's all the way around.  The pains you may be feeling could be Braxton Hicks or could be the baby repositioning.  You may want to ask your doctor though.  Good luck!
