A few things that I went with (revamped as my children were born, have 3 now).
- slippers or warm/cozy socks
- chap stick, dry lips can be annoying and possible
- camera, if want pictures of babe after birth (pending to you if during, I never did but that's personal perference)
- change of clothes/large nightshirt
- nursing bras, nursing pads, nursing pillow (if using), nipple cream or ointment
- healthy snacks for mom (silly sounding maybe but I found it useful)
- clothes, underwear and pads to go home in
- baby supplies: diapers (if not provided by hospital), clothes, recieving blankets/spit clothes, baby wipes, if winter then snowsuit/blankets/bunting bag,
- carseat
- books or things to occupy time, if it's a drawn out labor (I have never packed these things but was reccommended too)
There's a few things to start off with. Hope it helped. Happy packing, be packed and ready to go as it goes smoother and less things forgotten about. :)

I won't be bringing much. Just some slippers, lip balm, hair brush, my iPod and dock, baby clothes, baby blankets, car seat, something loose and comfortable to wear home, Boppy pillow, my water bottle, laptop, and our camera.
This is my third time and I've brought less and less each time. You really don't need much. Most hospital rooms have tvs if you get really bored, but most of the time my husband and I were either talking or resting.
You won't need much they do provide alot. Normally I just bring a water bottle,3-4 baby outfits, baby blankets, comfortable clothes for myself, a hair brush and hair ties, camera, pillows, feminine wipes, pads or liners, and ofcourse the babys carseat. You can bring more but you probably won't need more then that.
