Your baby's gender can be determined by 15 weeks as their gential are visiable external. So when you go for the 18-20 week ultrasound it should be more clear. As sometimes it's not too clear and the gentials can be swollen and be misleading still around 15 weeks. Do keep in mind that ultrasounds are not always 100% accurate. My ultrasound tech told me they can 99.9% tell if its a boy as early as 12-13 weeks but girls usually more accurate by 18 weeks.  Safe to wait until your 20 week visit.  That is if the baby is cooperating of course!  Good luck, hope the baby is the gender you are hoping for!  =)
