Why does my daughter start to cry when she sees someone go to sleep?

My almost 2 year-old recently changed classes at daycare; during her first week she had a lot of trouble napping. Now whenever she sees someone on TV or in a book either going to bed or closing their eyes she starts crying inconsolably. I've talked with the daycare teacher and supposedly naptime isn't traumatic for her. I'll confused and a little concerned about this new behavior.
