My 2yr old grandson will hold his poop for days and he gets missrable but still holds how can we stop this?

Is he in the process of being potty trained? Potty training can cause a bit of stress for some kids, especially if they are scared of the toilet.
if he is getting constipated, then you need to put some karo syrup in his milk or juice.
