Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

sciatic nerve pain

I'm 34 weeks along and for the past two days I've been in some pain. My sciatic nerve is killing me!!! I always try to elevate my feet and take walk breaks during working hrs. Is this a common thing among pregnant women at this stage of my pregnancy? It's my 1st pregnancy so I'm not sure. Also, what can I do to ease the pain? Last night while showering, I let warm water hit the area then I had my husband massage the area (too painful) Please help!

Have you talked to a chiropractor? I was treated during and after my last pregnancy and it helped a ton. Sciatica can be caused by a misalignment in your spine so it is probably worth at least a phone call. Most insurance plans cover chiropractic care.Good luck :)
