Is sleeping on your RIGHT side okay?

Is sleeping on your RIGHT side okay?

My doctors have always said to sleep on my left side. I try, but my left side gets so sore during the night - I need to change positions. I am in my 22nd week, and am scared that I am doing something that will eventually hurt the baby.

It's all about comfort for the most part. I flip flop all night long from left to right and back again (I'm 34 weeks and everything is fine). I actually prefer to lay on my right and probably spend more time on that side than in any other position.

The dr's just say the left side is best because it releases the most pressure from squishing the vena cava (the reason you shouldn't sleep on your back). The Right side is still okay too. I also flip back and forth all night.
