What is the best pregnancy pillow to buy?
What is the best pregnancy pillow to buy?
I am 21 weeks and not sleeping too well. Since I have a ways to go I have been looking into buying a pregnancy pillow. I am tossing and turning, have back pain, and leg cramps. I have checked out the snoogle and the one from utterly yours. Before I spend more money than I have ever spent on a pillow I would love feedback from you pros out there. Thanks so much.

I'm 24 weeks today and I've been having the same problem. I was getting aches and cramps in my legs and hips and it was making it impossible to sleep! I looked at all the pillows online and found that I couldn't get any of them at a local retailer - I wanted to be able to see and feel the pillow before I bought it. Eventually I just caved and we went out and got a big fluffy body pillow that has worked GREAT. I sleep with my leg wrapped around it and while it seems like a 3rd person in bed, we're managing. I've been sleeping great this last week and I don't think I'll have to drop the $50 on a maternity pillow.
I'm with JTEFFS on this one. I'd sooner buy a body pillow from Walmart or Zeller's than buy a maternity pillow. I honestly don't see the difference.
I'm 21 weeks too and I wake up with a painful tummy and hips, so I'm probably going to be going to one of the stores listed above. I usually snuggle against hubby with my tummy resting on his hip and my leg over his, but he doesn't like sleeping on his back. :( lol
I'm not that far into being pregnant. ;p But I know, that spending a lot of money on what they call and amazing pregnancy pillow is redic, simply get a fluffy pillow, or a body one like said above, ahaha i have a little tummy now and I either lay on my side or belly, but I can't so i have this little teddy bear thats really fluffy I put it under my tummy and it makes me feel better, adn I fall asleep easier. Don't spend money on soemthing that will probbaly do the same as a regular pillow.
I can recommend the Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow
Like most pregnant women as my pregnancy progressed, I was experiencing issues with getting comfortable in the bed. A friend told me about the Snoogle pillow, so I decided to purchase the item to see if it really provides me with the comfort I need while in the bed. As described, the pillow provides the support I needed and now I can sleep through the night with the comfort needed for a restful sleep. The pillow is flexible. It allows you to put it into different a position which adds to the comfort level. I love the removable/washable pillow cover. Would highly recommend this pillow

I'm on my 3rd pregnancy now and have tried several different pilows from the top; brands like Leachco and Boppy. The Boppy pillows wee horrible and the Leachco Snoogle I had was better but still didn't give me enough support. One of the ladies that I work with suggested that I try the Today's Mom Cozy Comfort Pregnancy Pillow, which is a larger, U-shaped support pillow. I was a bit hesitant at first becuase it's a bit more expensive than the pillows I bought previously, but it's also a lot larger and fuller as well. The Cozy Comfort pillow gave me much needed support in my back and hips, and gentoy cradled mt belly, which helped me to get more comfortable and finally start sleeping better. The only downside is that I'm a small woman and the pillow is quite large, but I rather have a larger more comfortable pillow than a smaller one that doesn't do the job.
If you are looking for a quality maternity pillow and don't mind spending the money, I'd definitely suggest trying the Today's Mom Cozy Comfort. There's a slightly smaller, C-shaped pillow that they have as well, which is called the Cozy Comfort and runs a bit cheaper in price as well.
