What color is the amniotic fluid when the water finally breaks and begins to leak out?

When my water broke with my first pregnancy it was a very light yellow but it was slightly cloudy. There wasnt any "blood" like I was told there would be ... fortunatly for me I was sitting on the toilet when my water broke. There was a very small gush... kind of like she had kicked my bladder, but I have heard of it being just as small as a tiny trickle.

It should be light yellow like straw. If the baby is stressed and has has a bowel movement the fluid will be green tinted.
