Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

I also live in Texas and think that even though it is a little corny it's also really cute and if you ever decide that you want to stick with the whole Texas naming you can also name your boys Antonio, and Dallas and for a girl you can try Christi.

Austin is a nice name. But there is a saying about the city of Austin that says, "Keep Austin weird". I know of a boy named Austin here ( I live inTX). I wouldn't let that bug you any though. My husband definetly wouldn't. He actually says to make sure you know what the name means before you name a child.  You don't want a child saddled with a name that has a bad meaning.

Corny, but cute!!!  I would like it even if you weren't in Texas, but it gives a little meaning to his name.

I love the name Austin, I knew a guy named Austin and for a long time I planned on naming my first son Austin. I think it's a good choice, and I don't think it's corny at all.
