Sometimes it's nice to get advice from experts with a lot of letter degrees behind their names, but other times, you just need to hear what another parent (with a M.O.M. behind her name) has done that has worked. You've got questions? These moms have answers.

Think of it as a big brown target for your baby.  When they're first born they can't see as well so your skin may change color to help guide them.

The color change is due to hormones. It will probably be permanent. You may also see small bumps around the areola. These are glands that produce oil. works great to keep your nipples tuff during nursing. Lots of suction going on there ;)
