455,000 Costume Jewelry Sets Recalled

Dollar General Corp. has recalled 455,000 costume jewelry sets. The jewelry contains high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested.

The recalled sets include a necklace and a pair of earrings in various designs. The flower set features a floral design in four colors: yellow, orange, pink, and purple. A purse set includes a dangling purse charm that comes in black, red, blue, orange, pink, or purple. The corded swirl set features a twisted metal swirl pattern hanging from a black, blue, or purple cord. The faux amber set includes a large faux amber gem cut into a heart or cross shape. A five-strand beaded set were sold in orange, purple, blue, and multi-color. All sets were sold at Dollar General stores nationwide for between $1 and $3.
