480,000 Swimming Arm Bands Recalled

September 16, 2005
Atico International USA, Inc. has recalled 480,000 pairs of Surf Club Arm Bands. The seams of the arm bands can tear, causing them to deflate and posing a drowning hazard.

The arm bands are bright orange on the outside and white on the inside, with an inflation valve on either side. They are imprinted with a "Surf Club" logo, "CVS/Pharmacy" and a word of caution. When inflated, the arm bands measure 8 inches long by 6 inches wide. They were sold at CVS stores nationwide for about $1.

The arm bands can be returned to CVS for a full refund. For more information, call Atico at (877) 546-4835 between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. ET Monday through Friday, or www.aticousa.com.
