Kids on Cells

Your child's almost certainly too young for a cell if he's rarely out of your sight. But if he's roaming the neighborhood, you might consider one of the new kids' models, like the Verizon Wireless LG Migo, Firefly Mobile Phone, or Enfora/Leapfrog's TicTalk.
Who will my child call?
All three let parents restrict access by programming preapproved numbers. The Firefly and TicTalk offer 22 numbers, the LG Migo, 5.
Is it worth the money?
The phones retail for $80 to $100, not counting service.
Can he keep track of a cell?
And will he use his minutes wisely?
Should it be a tool or a toy?
The TicTalk does double duty; it comes loaded with a variety of LeapFrog educational games.
