Tori Spelling appeared at a disco party for preschoolers to teach kids how to do the Potty Dance, an 9-step routine thought up by Pull-ups to reward kids going though potty training. The kids, dressed in bow ties and tutus, were quite a sight on the dance floor! We caught up with Tori after the party.

Laura: I had a blast today, but do you think your son Liam will remember the potty dance?

Tori: Oh, he's an old pro now! He really likes the shaking part.

Laura: We know at Parenting how hard it is to be a working mom with two kids. What are your tricks to making the day a success?

Tori: Well, there's definitely no manual. You really have to go by your instincts. It sounds funny because my kids are so young and they can't really talk yet, but I always try to listen to them. And, yes, having two is definitely a handful but the wonderful thing, I find, is seeing them interact with each other.

Laura: Moms always feel like they've got to be "on," but you really have to be in the spotlight all the time! What are the good parts and bad parts of being a mom in the public eye?

Tori: Oh, people scrutinize every little thing you do. And it's not realistic to look good all the time. I always say that I never knew that such a little person could come with so much baggage -- like, actual bags! After I've packed it all up, I don't have time to make myself look good. But there are the paparazzi at the grocery store!

Laura: Is there any good part?

Tori: Well, the great thing right now is that with my reality show I get to spend so much time with my family. When I go to work, I'm actually spending time with them.

Laura: So, you're potty training Liam right now. Hit any bumps along the road?

Tori: Oh, yes. He's about a month in, and there are good days and bad days. One thing I had to do was let go of my fear of potty training. I was so stressed that it was rubbing off on him, and that's never good. I really had to put myself in check. I didn't want to reward him with sugar, so learning the potty dance has been a great reward system.

Laura: And I gotta ask -- when your kids grow up will you introduce them to the new 90210 or the original 90210 first?

Tori: They've been on the set of the new 90210 so it won't be much of an introduction. But, an old episode of the original came on the TV one day and Liam actually pointed at the screen and said, "Mommy!" He recognized the 19-year-old version of me, which made me feel good!

Quick Poll

Do you loosen your rules about how many sugary treats your kids can have during the holidays?

Totally. Have at!
A little -- heck, we're indulging, too!
Nope. It's not healthy or worth the sugar meltdown.
