50,400 Water Watches Recalled
By Parenting
August 19, 2005
Almar Sales Co. Inc. has recalled 50,400 Water Watches. The digital watches come in several designs and have a clear plastic wristband that holds clear, pink, blue, red, or yellow glittered liquid. The band can puncture, allowing the liquid petroleum distillates inside to leak. The distillates could be harmful if ingested, or could cause irritation to the skin or eyes. The recalled watches were sold at Dollar General Stores nationwide for about $2.
Consumers should return the watches to the store where purchase to receive a refund. For more information, contact Almar Sales at (800) 251-2522 between 9 A.M. and 4 P.M. ET Monday through Friday.
